Authentic Succes in Business (and Life) Begins with Looking Inside

Authentic success in business (and life) requires you to look inside. As a self-employed Mompreneur, your business is a reflection of every aspect of you because many the facets of your life are intertwined. Knowing who you are inside helps you to create authentic success from the inside-out.

When you know who you are on the inside, you’ll be grounded internally which gives you clarity, purpose and direction to build a thriving life and a business that is profitable and sustainable. When there’s an internal disconnect, you’ll find yourself experiencing inner chaos that diminishes your overall impact in both your life and business.

I know this to be true because for the past several years, I’ve been going through the ongoing internal transition as I take my life and business to the next level. During this time, I’ve found myself scattered and overwhelmed because I spent a lot of my time comparing myself and trying to be like other successful entrepreneurs I know. The internal chaos and disconnect I’ve felt has frequently taken me off my path, leaving me drained and unproductive at times.

Initially, this approach to building my business (i.e. comparing myself to others and trying to be like them) became a distraction. Now, it has helped me see what’s authentic for me as I heal from the stuff that’s stopped me in the past, allowing me to embrace and own who I am as a woman, Mom and business owner. It’s from this new place I am entering that I will own the power of my story, which is the one that is authentic to me and will allow me to better serve those I am meant to impact.

I am definitely not complete; I remain in the throes of this process as I embrace my past, live life in the present, and allow the future to come to fruition. Being in three processes at once helps me relate to the butterfly, because this experience has been painful and beautiful at the same time. I know I’m closer than ever before to shedding my cocoon and stepping into my full radiance as the butterfly I am to be. I can hardly wait because I know that this is my “sweet spot” where life has greater impact with less effort.
